"so what do you do for a living?"

attended this book launch in san agustin monastery early tonight. as usual, fr. jun invited me since he knew that i don't have much things to do on a friday. but i never thought that it was gonna be that extravagant and kinda formal. there i was wearing cargo pants, shirt, and sandals. and i was in a room with people like priests, architects, engineers, academe people and a whole bunch of other professionals. and then it suddenly dawned on me that i still feel like this kid without having thought deeply that i'm already one like them (oh well... not quite..) but at least, it can be put that way. stuff like chatting about each others' jobs while lining up for the buffet table is kinda new to me. and questions like: "so, what do you for a living?" hit me. i mean, i only heard that on tv shows before and now... people ask me that in front of my face. owel. my usual replies would always be: "i'm a therapist." and they would (of course) follow up with a "which one?". "...occupational therapist". good for me, about 70% wouldn't care to know what really that is. well, they're professionals so they might have heard and known about that already. and one more thing. i really can't imagine myself wearing formal or at least semi-formal clothes. i mean, i'm so used to trasher shirts and sneakers or sandals that i feel like a complete mess when the occasion calls for a formal thing. haay... talk about transitions... changes...

i want to

there are just loads of things that i want to do right now. but i don't know where to start. actually, i seem to have a difficulty writing them down here 'cause of things that hinder me from doing so which is kinda ironic since blogs should be venues for people for their pent-up emotions (emotional upheavals at the most T_T) . i don't know if i still feel sad or empty. i'm coping. trying my best to distract myself at least from the idleness which is 90% a factor as to why i feel this way. hmm... one thing i do know is that i'm really not that depressed or as desolate as i felt weeks before. i've found solace at least in the weirdest of things. owel. life is hard and we all know that. i would never give up. after all, at 22 years old i think i've had quite a piece of adversities that life has to offer. these quotes kept me sane the past months...

greenbelt gimmick

at last! our greenbelt thing finally happened! we (sam, ching, me, dana, & ara) went there last saturday and had a really fun time. juju & dennis were also informed but they didn't show up. anyway, the four girls arrived early since they rode in dana's car and they came from their clinic somewhere in mandaluyong lang unlike me who came from espana pa. we ate at this place called "kitchen". touched naman ako at hinintay nila akong dumating bago mg-order. aww.. hehe... the foods were good but it took years for them to serve. antagal subra! good thing that we chatted about a lot of things - mostly their experiences in the clinic, plus ME. hotseat na naman ako as usual. they were teasing me how rich i was to spend 8 thousand on just a single shopping spree. lol. (to which sam exclaimed: "para ka namang puno sa suot mu!" - my jacket having green and brown colors in it. baket ba?! gusto ko green eh! lol.) going back... as if they don't spend that amount on other things like gadgets, etc... hehehe... (ara bought a sony laftaf! just so that i can name one! lol. ) we had loads of picture takings of course! asked the waiters a couple of times to get us a shot. pero ampanget nila kumuha. kya ako n lng. haha... spent 3 hours in red box afterwards. ansaya. the funniest part i guess was sam's impromptu dubbing of "maging sino ka man" instead of singing along it. ching & i also had lots of pikchuran moments. ang cute kase namen eh. wahaha!... siya lang pla. T_T went home mga 1:30am. naki-overnight na rin ako kila dana. and i'm glad i did kse we played Wii there! ansaya nya! haha. it brought back the memories of internship (during our pgh-drm rotation when i slept there a couple of times for some clinic projects). again, it was sam who had "the moment". she was hilariously funny during the boxing task! lol. basta, for proofs of what i'm talking about (and for you to understand what i'm narrating here), please see pix & vids on my multiply.

jackets for the rainy days

i should be undergoing money management intervention! f*ck! spent nearly 8 thousand this week for jackets and pants. haay... di na ko uulet. T_T mgtitipid na ko. promise.

through the years

still not done with those two evaluation papers. awww... grabe. no work for the past 3 days already because of the weather condition --> wednesday and thursday skeds have been cancelled in effect. of course, tuesday is really a break for me. OMG! pti bukas,wla akong work kse free day ko rin. wla na akong pera! huhu. T_T anyway, thank God for internet. it kept me busy at least. eh i couldn't go out because there was flood all over barlin st. (where i rent a place). anyway, i was arranging my pics in my multiply account when i came across these old photos. and i could see how crazy i was trying different haircuts through the years. oo na. panget na ko. pake mu ba?! gusto ko lng mg-try ng iba-ibang hairdo. lol.

--> third year: my classmates were shocked when i entered the classroom one early morning during our 7:30 MRL class with a short haircut. bagay daw. aww... thanks to bench fix.
--> during fourth year. tried to put on some bangs.
--> during the recognition, tried gelling it up. odb.

the past week...

i have yet to type two evaluation papers today but since i'm not in the mood for some serious job, i decided to just share some of the things that i did last week.

sunday, july 29:

-->> went to sapang-palay (is that one right?) bulacan to attend christian dedication of my friend's (bart's) nephew. i immediately agreed to go with him when he invited me to since it's been years (6 to be exact...i guess) that i've not seen his sister (ivy). plus, i didn't have much to do during sundays (except for some net surfing - aguhn! and going to mass - naks!). we were with his cousin during the trip. haay... it was fun going out of town (hehe..prang anlau ng bulacan,db?!) what was even a greater thing was meeting his cousins. they were really nice and easy to be with. feeling ko nga close na kame tlga! lols. chatted with them a lot. and i realized it has been weeks since i last laughed my heart out! i mean like with my whole temporo-mandibular joint in its full range of motion! haha!... siguro kse, they're all from aklan din so aun... but it was really cool! naki-ride sila sa kaadikan ko sa pikchuran! and i have to say i thank them for that! kse when most people would say things like "anu ba yan! pikchur ng pikchur!" sila hinde! hehe... they were equally excited as i was! so un... went home mga 5pm.i have work kse the day after.

monday, july 30:
-->> nothing exciting happened! couldn't remember what i did this day. i guess i just went to work and did the same routine! ay nope. it was charrie's interview at the US embassy pla during the morning. she was set to leave for the states sometime that week kse. one more thing p pla. my sister texted me that she was to come to manila by tuesday because her father-in-law is to be confined (bone marrow cancer. T_T)

tuesday, july 31:
-->> no work for tuesdays! so i did some household chores. went to rob in the afternoon to have my hair cut in Fix. it was bart who actually convinced me to get rid of my bangs which has been there for ages (lol). the stylist wanted me to have my hair undergo some sort of treatment first because according to her "falling hair ka na sir! at dry siya!" haaay... sobra-sobrang panlalait na yan miss ah! lols. but the prob was i earlier deposited my funds in the bank. and what was left with me was around 700p n lng. so aun. no hair treatment. kaasar pa kse the one who was tasked to fix my hair also had another customer to attend to - simultaneously! grabeh! and he was in haste to finish his job on me! ao aun. the result was disastrous! kakahiya pg-uwi ko kse prang wig n lng ung suot ko sa ulo! eh my hair is very thin pa nmn! anyways, i went to the hospital afterwards to see my sister and visit her father-in-law as well. kakalungkot lng... the case was terminal na kse. and you could see the pain in his countenance. it's like every breath he takes was a blessing in itself. haay... aun. kainis ung sister ko! she couldn't give me the fone that she has to in exchange of my old sony-ericcson since she forgot hers in aklan. they were in a hurry na daw kse to go here. eh i'm going to use that for my sun sim sna. kse kristoff has been nagging me for weeks! di na daw ako tumatawag sa knya! huwaaat!? baket!? anyways, she asked me to treat them eh wla nga akong dalang pera,db?! so un. i said na next tym n lng. went home mga 8pm. and the usual thing.my sister was overly concerned about my safety! sbe ko, taxi n lng ako. don't worry! she's always like that pti mother ko. di lng ako mk-reply within 5 minutes, they would get paranoid nah! anu n kyang ngyare kay jp!? lols. ^_^ baby b ko?! uhm... at least love nila ako. hehe...

wednesday, august 1:

-->> it was charrie's despedida in the clinic today. haay... kakalungkot kse she's leaving na the next day. had a sumptuous lunch! sobra-sobrang cholesterol ang food! ngerx! and as usual, took lots of pix! kakalungkot kse charrie's the closest to me in the clinic. sya ung tlgang kumakausap sa akin nun when i was still new. haay.. i will deeply miss her presence. T_T haay... my sister and her husband went to my place pla in the afternoon. they wanted a break daw kse from the stress in the hospital. so aun. i asked them if they wanted to go to sm san lazaro. sbe ko treat ko sila. they agreed nmn. (xepmre.) ate at karate kid. talked 'bout some stuff with little emphasis on what's been happening in the hospital. kse nga relax-relax nmn muna. hehe... after that, we had coffee in starbucks. sbe ko sa ate ko, pumayag na at wla nmng gnyan sa aklan! lols. ordered cappucino and some others. we had fun din kse fr. jun (who's also studying in ust for his masterals) dropped by. we had these funny conversations about how life in the province and here differs of which details i wouldn't elaborate na. sbe nya nga (fr. jun) habang tumatagal daw siya dito sa manila, prang mas gusto niya dito. hehe... kse wla daw starbusks sa aklan. lols. aun. my sis and my brother-in-law as well as fr. jun left early. i stayed pa kse i had nothing to do nmn in my place. kakatuwa lng kse prang kelan lng, ung sister ko nanlilibre saken. ngaun, ako na! hehe... yabang! owel.

thursday, august 2:

-->> i received the text from my sis that her father-in-law passed away around 1:45 pm. kalungkot. asked me if fr. jun could celebrate mass the day after. sbe ko, ill ask him since i have to meet him nmn in the afternoon for our usual merienda outside ust's premises (madalas sa p.noval). so aun. broke the news to him about what had happened. sbe nmn niya, friday evening n lng daw so that there'll be more people who could attend since it's office time in the daytime. we ate at this place located at p.noval cor i.delos reyes sts. ate baked macaroni at sya ay the usual turon! haha!... he has class kse at 6pm so we left early.

friday, august 3:

-->> no work for today. so woke up late, around 11am n yta. while i was having my brunch somewhere in barlin, ernie saw and told me that rolf is here in manila. asked me if i could come with them to tour him in trinoma. sbe ko, yes i could since the mass in sanctuarium for my sis' father-in-law would be in the evening namn. aun. fr. jun came to my place kse mg-internet daw siya. naks! ako n tlga ang pambansang computer shop ng bayan! anu daw!? lols. thanks to smartbro! met up with them in ust. i was shocked to see not so many students that day! un pla, holiday for the SK thing! haha!.. wla tuloy nkita si rolf! haha!sbe pa niya: "tagtuyot ba dito ngaun?" lols. anyways, toured him in trinoma afterwards. watched this circus performance there. rolf bought some flip-flops since he has this thing for them. spent most of our time in coffee bean. talked about our lives in the seminary before. both of them are 5 years ahead of me pla. i was in 1st year high that time and they were in 2nd year college. odb. basta, we just got along well. needless to say. rafaell rosell was also there at that moment. he was around 2 tables from our place cguro. kya dumame ang tao sa loob nung dumating siya. aun lng. went to sanctuarium in the evening to attend the mass. it was my first time inside that place. andame pla tao dun. aus ung concept. prang hotel siya with many rooms up til the 3rd or 4th floor. tpos crematorium and place where you could keep the urns sa taas. plus, the architecture is kinda nice. eto n nmn ako. don't know anything related with structures. lakas ng loob mg-comment. anyways, met lots of people mostly from our town in aklan that nyt. some of them would be saying things like "ako ung ng-alaga sau nung bata ka. di mu na ko naaalala?" made me realize sobrang poor ng memory ko when it comes to people. introvert din kse yta ako. ewan. hehe...basta, nice to see them again. grabe. khit sa lamay, madaldal p rin ako!

saturday, august 4:
-->> nakakainis! di natuloy ung mega plan nmen. we were supposedly set to watch rat... (hirap spelling! lols.)movie. eh pagod na daw mga tao. kya aun. sa bahay lng ako. internet. internet. chat! at p***! wlang maxadong online that nyt! meron ilan pero hinde lng namamansin. ^_^ wehk! haha.. basta greenbelt sa sat ha sam at ching!bibili na ko ng damit! makonsensya kau pg hinde natuloy!
