"could've beens" without UP

It’s the University of the Philippines’ kick-off party for its Centennial celebration tomorrow! I am pretty excited! Somebody posted a list of what would transpire during the event and I must admit it convinced me to consider attending it! Sent txt messages to everyone – asked them to accompany me. Quite a few responded with a “yes” (just a while ago) so I guess I’m now really set for it! Haha. I’ll be proud Isko this time around! Not that I’ve never been. Just that I wasn’t the typical one during college. Never attended rallies (tuition increase, cha-cha, etc…), ate just wherever most of the time (by this I mean in carinderias – no one would accompany me), and the like. Name it – haven’t been there! When most students were clamouring about UP’s privatization, we were singing our hearts out in Rob’s videoke rooms and playing at its arcade. What!? That was more enjoyable for us! Lol. Maybe that was one thing. Should I blame this behavior on my having been to the Manila campus instead of the one in Diliman? Guess that’s pretty much valid. How on earth could you resist the lure of a mall located merely 10 meters away from where your college was? Get my point? Now tell me what would one do when he gets at least a 3-hour break from classes when movies like LOTR and Potter could be viewed a few steps away? Okay… I’m ranting. Rob gave us this sort of replacement for the whole Sunken Garden, Shopping or Ikot experience! Laban kayo? Haha. Just kidding… One thing that I’ve never told everyone though was my being grateful to have studied in UP. I am very thankful to God that my parents’ at most 8 thousand every semester got me to receive the best education in town! Imagine that! Truth is, I don’t know what could’ve happened to me did I not pass UPCAT! Seriously! Thank you UP! You saved my life, and saved my parents' ass from paying what could’ve been thousands for tuition! Lol. I’ma cheer for you tomorrow!
UNIBERSIDAD NG PILIPINAS! *cheers.
